Cognitive Therapy is based on exploring the way clients feel and believe about life and themselves and how those feelings can produce stress, anxiety or fear if they are negative. Through talk therapy, clients examine their thought processes and learn to identify distorted or irrational thinking. Through client's use of exposure and desensitization in a deeply relaxed environment, they can change their thoughts and emotions to more positive ones. Often the client is asked to keep a journal to track their stress, thoughts, actions, and anxiety and depression levels, so that they can more easily identify their issues.

We use hypnotherapy as the bridge to reach our subconscious mind, where all our beliefs, both positive and negative, decide how we think, feel, and behave. As you change unhealthy beliefs, you can change negative patterns and behaviors easily.

What is EMDR?
June has worked with EMDR since its inception and seen very positive results in removing trauma. EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing uses side to side eye movements, tactile stimulation and/or sound to view and release emotional experiences that have been trapped in the nervous system by trauma. Unprocessed at the time of the event, traumatic memories are held in the body and can keep a person emotionally blocked, fearful or anxious for years. Clients who have experienced traumas can use EMDR to release them and experience emotional distance from the memory. When that is done, they can begin living in the present instead of the past. It is very helpful in working with anxiety, panic attacks and changing personal negative core beliefs that cause distress.
What is EFT?
As a practitioner of EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques – Energy therapy, June has seen effective and rapid emotional healing. It is being used by psychotherapists, psychiatrists, counselors and therapists of all types. Clients can use it at home once they have learned the process. It is based on Chinese meridian energy medicine, and is similar to emotional acupuncture without the needles. EFT is used to remove negative emotion, non-serving beliefs and many physical pains. It can be used anywhere by the client once she has learned the points to be touched, as the tools are always available. The theory is that all negative emotions are a result of an imbalance in the body's energy system. When used, the client feels a sense of calm and peace, and to get to the bottom of the issue and remove it completely, you work with the therapist to get to the underlying reasons for the issue. EFT requires tapping on various points of the meridian system and takes only a few minutes to do.
